Smoothie BOL, anyone?

It’s looking like a Hot BOL Summer… We don’t know about you, but we’re loving this July heatwave. And with temperatures reaching upwards of 30 degrees in London, we’re all in need of something refreshing. Smoothie BOL, anyone?
Our Power Shakes make the perfect base for a Smoothie BOL. All that’s left if for you to go crazy with your toppings. We love crunchy granola, summer berries and of course, more chocolate… (Coconut bowl strongly advised, not essential.)

TOP TIP: If you like a thicker smoothie BOL, try blending in a frozen banana or a handful of ice.

How would you decorate yours?

Columbian Coffee, Banana & Cinnamon

A light, creamy blend of rich Colombian coffee, sweet banana and warming cinnamon gently wakes you up and keeps you going. Carrots, butternut squash and sweet potato are all high in Vitamin C which contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue – perfect for first thing in the morning. And that’s not to mention the nutty sunflower seeds, plant powered pea protein and extra hit of creamed coconut.
Topping suggestions: Sliced banana, blueberries (fresh or frozen,) desiccated coconut, chia seeds and a generous amount of dark chocolate.

Chocolate, Orange & Toasted Hazelnut

The flavour combination we all know and love. Swap out your Christmas stocking for a summer hat and enjoy this nutritionally complete meal. Gluten free oats provide a great source of fibre as do the whole roasted hazelnuts which also contain unsaturated fats. Surprisingly, carrots make up almost a third of this lunch shake, which is great as they’re naturally high in vitamin A and C which are handy for supporting immunity and bone health.

Topping suggestions: Fresh fruit – we love orange and strawberries. Pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate chunks (notice a theme yet?)

Chocolate & Peanut Butter

Chocolate and peanut butter – it’s a match made in heaven. You’d never guess from the taste that there are sweet potatoes in this recipe. Rich in potassium and Vitamin C which support the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, we can’t think of a better pick me up to wake you up or beat that post lunchtime slump.

Topping suggestions: Nutty granola, dark chocolate shavings, roasted peanuts and sliced banana.
