Last week, some of team BOL took time away from their laptops to give a helping hand to the amazing people running Crisis Christmas in Poplar this year.
Founded in 1967, Crisis UK is a national charity for homeless people, offering year-round education, employment, housing and well-being services so that people can rebuild their lives and are supported out of homelessness for good.
Our day at Crisis Christmas involved setting up and refurbishing the Poplar warehouse ready for the frontline team to provide these life-changing services over the festive period.
Georgie and Paul got the tools out and tested their strength tearing off metal doors and painting car parking spaces for the goods vehicles while Toby led the IT department set-up for the workers.
Ilaria, Romy, Susie & Ellie got to demonstrate their creative flare and decorated the call-centre rooms and dining room so that workers and volunteers had a festive and happy environment to work from.
It was an incredible day for the team to see how much work goes into such a brilliant initiative and we were delighted we could offer a helping hand to support Crisis’ efforts to give thousands of people in need a chance at a happier Christmas this year.
